Basic data collection of oligotrophic to mesotrophic standing waters with vegetation of the Littorelletea uniflorae and/or of the Isoeto-Nanojuncetea

“Oligo- to mesotrophic standing waters with vegetation of the Littorelletea uniflorae and/or the Isoeto-Nanojuncetea” (FFH-Nr. 3130) are protected throughout the EU as a Habitats Directive Annex I habitat type. Little is actually known about this habitat in Austria and there is neither a basic data collection nor an established monitoring system. In this project, all data on this habitat will be compiled for the first time, a practicable method for mapping the habitat type will be developed and mapping will be carried out in the federal states of Lower Austria, Burgenland and Styria. VINCA will take on various tasks in this project. This concerns in particular the development and maintenance of the database and the implementation of part of the field work.
