Dung beetle monitoring in the Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel National Park
Regular monitoring of dung beetles (coprophagous Scarabaeidae) has been carried out on selected grazing areas in the Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel National Park for several years. This enables the compilation of a complete species inventory and the documentation of changes in the species communities depending on the season and different grazing animals. In addition, management recommendations and suggestions for optimizing grazing management, based on the data collected, are given.
